How to set up this drill

Players will have their own area which is two metres apart from their partners’ area. The players will share one football between them. The aim is to try to pass the ball to each other in different ways. You can start off by throwing the ball to each other. Then move onto kicking the ball to each other.

Once you get comfortable, try different ways of passing the ball between you. You could pass high, or pass low, roll the ball, or bounce the ball to each other.

Equipment we will need

4x cones per person
1x football per person

Don’t have cones? Try using household items like jumpers or water bottles to mark out your area.

Be sure to use hand sanitiser and wipe down any equipment. Always remember to maintain safe social distances when attempting Play Safe drills.
