Easter fun at Sir Bobby's Street Reds

Sir Bobby Charlton's legacy is felt during the Easter break in a funded school holiday camp in the Moss Side area

During the Easter break, children from the Moss Side community enjoyed free activities and meals at Sir Bobby’s Street Reds, funded by the Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation to ensure children remained active and engaged outside of school term-time.

More than 45 children attended the two-day camp and received medals and reusable water bottles in celebration.

One participant, Evan, 11, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and even received tickets to a Manchester United match as a reward for his dedication and kindness shown towards others.

Evan said: “It’s been really good to come here in the Easter holidays, have some lunch and keep occupied. It’s enjoyable because instead of staying home and watching TV, you come and stay fit, stay healthy and socialise.”

Sir Bobby’s Street Reds is a weekly community football session funded by Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation and delivered by Manchester United Foundation coaches, formed as a lasting legacy to one our greatest-ever players.
