Tinchy Stryder completes the musical line up at Red Heart United fundraiser
The 26 year-old musician and entrepreneur, whose collaborations have included artists Pixie Lott, Taio Cruz, N-Dubz and Calvin Harris, will perform on the Old Trafford pitch at the Red Heart United Legends’ game on 2nd June, alongside X Factor stars Amelia Lily and JLS.
‘Number 1’ singer Tinchy is no stranger to warming up the crowd ahead of a big game and even performed at Wembley ahead of the 2011 Champion’s League final, but for the lifelong Red, returning to Old Trafford will be a really special occasion.
“So many legends have played on this pitch so it’s great for me to perform here; I’m really looking forward to it,” he said. “Manchester United is in my heart, so you don’t have to ask me twice to be involved. Anything that will help out a charity has got to be a good thing, especially one that is connected to Manchester United.”
The Red Heart United match is being held to raise money for the Foundation and will offer a full day out for the whole family. In-keeping with the two clubs’ origins, there will also be the chance to try your hand at some Spanish and British themed games as well as sample traditional cuisine from both nations.
Following the concert, team manager Bryan Robson will lead a host of former Manchester United players, including Ruud van Nistelrooy, Edwin van der Sar, Denis Irwin, Jaap Stam and Teddy Sheringham.
Real Madrid have enlisted the help of veterans such as Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo and Fernando Hierro and hope to defend a 3-2 victory over the Reds, claimed in the first leg at the Bernabeu last year.
