Santas at the REaDy!

Join Ryan Giggs for festive family day out.

Santas at the REaDy!

Get into the Christmas spirit at Manchester United Foundation’s 6th annual Santa Run on Sunday 2nd December 2012.

The day will begin with the 2K Family Fun Run at 11.30am, this year kicked off by United’s very own Ryan Giggs.  It doesn’t matter if you run, jog or walk as long as you’re having fun! The fun run is one for all the family as you make your way around the stadium, down the players’ tunnel and along the world famous Old Trafford pitch.

The 5K Serious Santa Run will start at 12.30pm and participants will take in the sites of the Imperial War Museum, The Lowry and MediaCity before finishing with a lap around the pitch.

Other Christmas activities taking place around the stadium will include the Manchester United Foundation Youth Choir serenading runners as they make their way around the Theatre of Dreams, a brass band playing all your favourite festive tunes and you can also visit Santa in his grotto to receive an early Christmas gift.

Don’t forget there will also be a competition for the best dressed runner – all those dressed as Santa or in fancy dress will be in with a chance of winning an exclusive Manchester United signed item!

The Santa Run is a charity event and participants are invited to raise money for the Foundation and our charity partners, Francis House Children’s Hospice, The Christie and UNICEF, or any other charity of your choice.

Entry costs are £10 for a single entry, £5 for children or £20 for families.  Entries include a Santa hat for children or a full suit for adults.  Enter online now or email fundraising@mufoundation.org for more information.
