5-a-side Charity Challenge

Enter our seven-a-side tournament at Carrington for a fixture you’ll never forget.

Charity Challenge

The fifth annual Manchester United Foundation Charity Challenge takes place on Saturday 2nd June.  This unique event offers grassroots players, aged 16+, a chance to compete in a day long, round-robin tournament at Manchester United’s first-team Carrington training complex.

The standard and ability of teams may vary, but the spirit of the competition is always played in the right manner, ensuring a day to remember for any football fan.

Participants will even get the chance to meet Manchester United legends and the winning team will receive a trophy presentation.

Former United star David May, who took part in last year’s Challenge, commented, “It’s your chance to emulate your heroes. When you know the likes of Rooney, Scholsey, Giggsy and Rio have trained on these pitches it makes Carrington a very special place for anyone who loves playing football.”

Paddy Crerand added, “It’s great for all the lads who take part; to come down and play at a facility the United players use is a great experience.”

Sixteen teams will compete on the day, which will kick off at 10am with the final whistle blown at 4pm.  Entry per team of ten players is priced at £1500 and all proceeds will be divided equally between the Foundation and our local charity partner, Francis House Children’s Hospice.
