Foundation Team Run for Christie's

The team took a break from their busy training schedule before the run to visit the Christie rehabilitation unit to see how the money they raise will benefit patients.

Nicola McLeod, Zeki Istanbul, David Chapman, Emma Gaynon, Andy Smith and Nick Bradshaw will join a team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists from the Christie, who are Kate Roberts, Anna Mann, Rachel Ellis, Bobby Magee and Tracy Fuller.

Zeki Istanbul, said: “As football coaches, this should be a doddle for us, but the training proved hard. We were very pleased to see how generous people were when you mention it's all for the Christie. It was very interesting to visit and seeing the excellent facilities spurred us on even more to raise as much money as possible.”

The club is working hard to help raise funds to recruit a full time physiotherapist, a full time occupational therapist and associated equipment to support the rehabilitation of young cancer patients.
