How to fundraise during the Covid-19 crisis

We know that the current climate is difficult and we are very grateful for your support during this time.  Here are a few of our favourite fundraising ideas that you can organise from the comfort of your own home.

Here are a few of our favourite virtual fundraising ideas:

  • Host an online football gaming tournament and ask people to pay an entry fee. Half of your total can go to your champion and half could go to your fundraising total.

  • If you’re feeling brave, why not shave your head or dye your hair red and ask people to sponsor you?

  • Get your membership group to take part in a sponsored virtual challenge. Some ideas are:

    • Run lengths of Old Trafford / X times around the pitch.

    • Running the distance from Old Trafford to Wembley (200 miles).

  • Host an online football or MUFC themed quiz on social media and ask for a donation to take part.

  • Hold a virtual games night and include some classics – Uno, Scrabble, Monopoly, Cluedo, etc.

  • Get sponsored to recreate classic United moments using Subbuteo or Lego.

  • Hold a virtual race night. Half of the stake goes towards your fundraising and half goes towards prize money.

  • If you can sing or play an instrument, why not hold an online performance/festival? You could ask for donations in return for people watching a live stream.

  • Hold a football themed bake-off or live cook along on social media.

  • Get sponsored for spending time in a full Manchester United kit (shirt, shorts, socks, boots, captains armband).

  • Get work colleagues to make a small donation if you dress as your favourite United player, past or present, on video calls.
