The Rise programme starts at ages 15-17 and offers access to benefits that last a lifetime, including scholarships, mentorships, access to career development opportunities, funding and more, as Global Winners work toward solving humanity’s most pressing problems.

Manchester United Foundation and Rise aim to engage and empower innovation, inspiring the leaders of today and uniting communities of tomorrow. The Foundation believes every young person should feel empowered to achieve their goals and uses the power of football and Manchester United to support young people to make positive choices in their lives.

Manchester United Foundation will promote Rise amongst its partners and networks, whilst identifying and mentoring exceptionally talented young people, to create lifelong lasting opportunities, that will positively impact young people from diverse backgrounds and their local communities.

Each year, Rise invites 15-17-year-olds from around the world to participate in the Rise Challenge. Unlike many traditional applications, Rise uses videos, projects and group interviews so applicants have multiple opportunities to showcase their potential. With alternative options for applicants who do not have access to technology.
