The manager and team, including Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and David de Gea made dreams come true at the Aon Training Complex for fans who suffer from serious and life-limiting illnesses.

The heart-warming event takes place twice a season with supporters travelling from across the world to meet their footballing heroes and watch first team training from the Jimmy Murphy Visitors’ Centre.

Ole used to attend Dream Days as a player and enjoyed giving his support once again in his new role at the club: “I’ve really enjoyed the Dream Day today; this is such an important day for the children and players too. We know we can make a difference to families; the children have met their heroes today.”

Romelu Lukaku added, “It’s really important for us to meet the children. We’re really happy they can watch us training and hopefully we can put some smiles on faces and support them in difficult times.”

Henry, 16, was delighted to meet his favourite players.  He said, “It’s been great watching the players train; it’s a surreal and amazing experience. My favourite part has been meeting the players, and how nice they are. It’s been a stressful time catching up on my GCSEs, so this has given me a huge boost.”  

Curtis, nine, who has Spina Bifida, and travelled from Northern Ireland for the event, added, “I was so excited when the players came over; it’s been great to meet them as I’ve been a fan all my life. It’s been good for my confidence meeting everyone and it’s been good to get to know the players, ask them some questions and take a photo with them.”
