Jenni relishing England training camp opportunity

14-year-old Jenni will travel to St George’s Park National Football Centre to participate in the three day camp which takes place Friday 10th October - Sunday 12th October.

This season is Jenni’s sixth with Manchester United FA Girls’ Centre of Excellence having previously played for her local team Queensgate FC in Stockport for four years. She was also selected to attend an Elite Performance session last season, and as a result has been able to gain some valuable experience to set her up for this year’s camp.

“I was excited to receive the call up and I’m looking forward to playing with the other really great players. I went to camp last season but I don’t really know anyone this year so it will be a good challenge”

Jenni credited the United Centre of Excellence for helping her to prepare for her upcoming international experience, “At United I have been able to play against other teams with high quality players and it has really developed my abilities and confidence going into the England camps”

Emma Fletcher, Manchester United FA Girls’ Centre of Excellence Manager, has seen Jenni develop and flourish throughout her time with United and is proud of her recent achievement.

“It’s a great opportunity for Jenni, she’s been with us now for quite a few years so it’s great to see her working through the ranks. She attended a few Elite Performance Camps last season so to actually step up into the England set up is a fantastic achievement for her. She’s had a great start to the season, so hopefully she’ll go there full of confidence and do us all proud”
