Charity Golf Day

Tee off with Manchester United first-team players, legends and celebrities.

Charity Golf Day

The Foundation’s annual golfing event returns to Dunham Golf and Country Club on Monday 12th May, giving you the chance to play a round with your footballing heroes.

The day will begin in the clubhouse at 1pm with soup and sandwiches, giving participants a chance to get to know their fellow players before teeing off with a shot gun start at 2pm.

After the 18th hole, an evening buffet will be served and the prize giving ceremony will commence – will midfielder Michael Carrick defend his crown following last year’s victory?

Other players and legends in attendance will include Denis Irwin, Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney and Jonny Evans.  The Northern Irish defender commented, “I’ve been taking part in the golf day for the last four or five years now and it’s always a good day – as long as the weather stays dry! It’s enjoyable, but there’s also a competitive edge between the players and everyone to see who will pick up the title.”

Following last year’s competition, United legend Alex Stepney said, “The golf day is great fun and you meet a lot of different people, including former players and members of the present team.  We have a good time, but this event is for charity; it raises a lot of money for people who need it – that’s why I’m here and why I enjoy coming.”

Entry for the Golf Day costs £1500 per team of three - a player, legend or celebrity will make up the fourth member of each team.
