Scaling the heights of Old Trafford for charity

Hundreds of Reds took part in our abseil to support our charity partners.

Scaling the heights for charity

Over the weekend of 23rd-24th February groups of fearless fans scaled the heights of the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand before stepping off the edge, lowering themselves down to the edge of the hallowed turf whilst taking in some truly breathtaking views of the Theatre of Dreams.

The charities benefiting from sponsorship raised from the freefall abseil are Manchester United partners Francis House Children's Hospice and The Christie.

Over £25,000 and £15,000 was raised for Francis House and The Christie respectively - fantastic amounts that will make a huge difference to the lives of children with terminal or life-limiting illness and young cancer patients.

To witness the event for yourself, see our video filmed by MUTV on the right.
