Reds on the Menu

The two current Reds stars and the hero of the Nou Camp in 1999 will be at the event, to be held on Monday 17 November 2008, 12.45pm start, to help raise money for the Manchester United Foundation. The dinner will be held in Old Trafford’s International Suite and hosted by TV presenter and United fan Eamonn Holmes, and the trio will field questions from the audience about their illustrious playing careers and on any other footballing matters.

Manchester United Foundation chief executive, John Shiels, says there’s plenty of excitement ahead of the event, which offers a unique opportunity to get closer to three genuine Red legends. And it’s all in the name of a worthy cause.

“With this being a lunch we expect it to be more informal than our black-tie events,” says John. “It’s a great chance to ask that burning question to three United European Cup winners, and promises to be a great afternoon."

Money raised from the player lunch will go towards the various causes that the Foundation supports.

Tables at the dinner are priced £1,250 (individual seats cost £125), with a limited number of ‘Gold’ tables available for £2,000. To make a booking or for information contact Gillian Mitchell by email at gillian.mitchell@mufoundation.org.

The players lunch is sponsored by Allied Irish and the Zeus Group.
