Bryan Robson kicks off Santa Run

Manchester United legend Bryan Robson will officially start the eighth annual Santa Run at Old Trafford this Sunday.

Captain Marvel himself will be on stage on the Old Trafford forecourt at 11.30am to start the 5K Serious Santa Run before setting off the 2K Family Fun Runners at 12.30pm.

Runners, joggers and walkers are invited to take part in the 2km race for all ages and abilities, with participants circling the Old Trafford stadium in full costume.  For the more adventurous Santa the 5km route takes runners past the sights of the Imperial War Museum, The Lowry and MediaCityUK before entering the Theatre of Dreams and crossing the finish line at the players’ tunnel. 

Other Christmas activities taking place around the stadium will include a brass band playing favourite festive tunes, performances from the Manchester United Foundation street dance crew and Father Christmas will be in his grotto giving out early Christmas gifts.

The Santa Run is a charity event and participants are invited to raise money for the Foundation or any other charity of their choice.
