If not for the Manchester United Foundation, I don’t know what I’d be doing now, I think I’d probably be in jail, I would of turned to a life of crime but this showed me another way

Jack Comerford is a former student from Manchester United Foundation partner schools, Irlam and Cadishead College and Broadoak High School, Partington. Whilst a pupil Jack was selected to be an Old Trafford Ball Assistant during the 2012 Olympic Games and has been a regular participant at the Partington Kicks session which launched back in November 2013. As a result of his leadership he was named captain for the Kicks Player Development squad, which helps to develop the most promising footballers that attend Kicks sessions across Manchester.

Jack spread his volunteering hours between Kicks sessions well as helping out at his old high school and at The Cliff Training Ground as part of Saturday Club. Jack completed his 99 hours quicker than any previous participant and went on to complete over 130 hours of volunteering across Foundation projects before being employed in a casual coaching position with Manchester United Foundation in April 2015.
