‘Move With Manchester United’ is a physical literacy programme delivered to primary school pupils for a 10 week duration during each academic term.

Each primary school will receive 10 weeks of physical literacy provision for Key Stage One pupils. Over the course of the programme five pupils who have shown significant technical and social improvements during the sessions will be invited to attend the ‘Move With Manchester United’ festival. The festivals are held at Old Trafford at the end of each term where pupils will take part in an educational and physical literacy session with the chance to meet Manchester United mascot Fred the Red.

Beginners Level – Reception, Year One and Year Two pupils

Intermediate Level – Year Two, Year Three and Year Four pupils

Age groups: 4 - 8
Locations: Manchester Primary Schools
Duration: 10 Weeks

Project Outcomes

The objective of Move With Manchester United is to improve children’s agility, balance and coordination with the focus on pupils becoming confident and competent movers. Extra-curricular sessions are also offered for Key Stage One and Two pupils. At the end of the programme pupils will be awarded with a certificate documenting their achievement and completion of the programme.
