Disability Football

Offering people with disabilities the opportunity to play or coach with Manchester United, our Ability Counts programme has grown into one of the largest in the Premier League. Teams focus on players with a sensory, physical and neurological impairment or disability and sign communicators are present at all sessions.

Training Times

Our coaching sessions are open to all abilities.

  • Mondays 6pm-7pm, Under 16s and adult female only pan-disability coaching sessions. Salford Sports Village, Littleton Road, Salford, M7 3NQ
  • Tuesdays 8pm-9pm, adults pan-disability football coaching sessions at The Cliff Training Ground, Lower Broughton Road, Salford, M7 2HU
  • Thursdays 8pm-9.30pm, deaf only football coaching sessions at The Cliff Training Ground, Lower Broughton Road, Salford, M7 2HU
  • Fridays 6pm -7pm, under 16s pan-disability football coaching sessions at The Cliff Training Ground, Lower Broughton Road, Salford, M7 2HU

Our teams play monthly games in the Greater Manchester Ability Counts Leagues. We currently have an under 14s pan-disability team, two under 16 pan-disability teams, a 7-a-side deaf only adult team and an 11-a-side deaf only adult team, with plans for a girls under 16s team next season.
