Football

Manchester United has always offered opportunities for local people to play football.  We run sessions for local youngsters, schools and people with disabilities, as well as a Girls Centre of Excellence and girls-only development for local schools.  We also offer coaching sessions, at a supplemented rate, through our Cliff Club and Holiday Courses.

Our Football department is based at the famous Cliff Training Ground, where the likes of Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best, Denis Law and (in more recent times) Roy Keane, Eric Cantona and David Beckham, would all have trained under the watchful eye of Sir Matt Busby or Sir Alex Ferguson. Whilst we make our base in Salford, our football coaches work across Greater Manchester in schools and communities to ensure we reach as many people as possible.

Our staff are all FA qualified and receive on-going training. All staff have first aid qualifications, are CRB checked and have attended ‘Safeguarding Children’ courses.

Our football provision is delivered in two main areas:

Girls Football
Disability Football
