Football in the Community

Since 1992, Manchester United has funded and run a Football in the Community scheme that has benefited thousands of people.  The scheme became part of the Foundation in 2006 .  

Situated at the famous Cliff Training Ground in Salford, our Football in the Community programme offers local people access to training facilities and coaching staff.  Our experienced FA qualified coaches run sessions for local communities, schools and people with disabilities; giving people of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to play football.   

Our Football in the Community staff deliver high quality football tuition in a safe environmnent.  All staff:

  • are FA qualified and receive ongoing training
  • experienced, competent and confident working with children at all levels
  • are Criminal Records Bureau checked
  • have attended a ‘Safeguarding Children’ course
  • are fully insured
  • have first aid qualifications
